Many pregnant women and teenagers smoke when they are going to have their babies this is one of the reasons that he babies die or have SIDS. Dr. Gary Cohen is studying 36 babies and he saw that 17 babies who’s mother was smoking during her pregnancy had abnormal heart rate and blood pressure. But now when they get older the blood pressure it rises when they change position a lot. This is not supposed to happen with normal babies because the blood pressure raises a lot. This is the main reason of cot death.
Our opinion is that this is really bad that women smoke during their pregnancy. We think that women that are soon becoming moms, should understand and think of the future of their babies because when those babies grow up and become adults, they’ll have to struggle with their health problems and they can’t succeed their dream. We also think that if these problems still go on, families world-wide become less healthier and these are major reasons why family population decrease.
