Massive icebergs floating towards coast of New Zeland

Today, more than 100 large icebergs are heading toward New Zealand. This enormous ice bergs are stragenly found in waters so up to the north. This has happened two times in 78 years. The last time this happened was in 2006 and they weren’t that big. Many boats that sail near the coast of New Zealand are in danger because most of the ice bergs are beneath water.
This enormous ice bergs may have many different sizes but the biggest ones may have about a half kilometer wide. Others have about 500 meters wide and 50 and fifty meters tall. Also may have a thickness of 350 meters. The visible part of the floating ice berg most of the times is 10 percent. Their may be many reasons why these ice bergs are too up north. Some say it’s global warming or a weather pattern but were not sure if one or any of this is true. This ice bergs may last between 6 and 8 weeks depending to were they go, to warmer parts or colder parts.
We think this is really bad not just because of this big ice bergs floating around in the ocean, more because that global warming might have caused it. If this was caused by global warming it can cause many different and even more dangerous things to the world. Many people may die because of their boats crashing on to the ice bergs. This can be a big problem right now but global warming may cause even bigger problems that would make this a minor problem compared to others. We think that we can solve this and other problems that global warming caused by protecting the Earth. Recycling, reusing and reducing our trash and energy we might be able to save the world!

Thursday morning, a category one hurricane got to Nicaragua. It is called Ida. It has winds of 120 kph. It is a slow moving hurricane. In some places the rain could reach 30in of water. Is expected that Nicaragua and Honduras will flood. Meteorologist said that the hurricane will become less powerful as it moves to Honduras.
Ida will move towards the Western Caribbean Sea on Saturday. Monday will pass through Cancun. At the end of next week it could pass through the U.S. Gulf coast. It’s too early to say the specific location where it hit. Coastal flooding may occur on the path of Ida. Ida will make the waves bigger. The hurricane season will end in Nov. 30.
Thanks god the hurricane season ends this month because many people have been or will be affected by Ida. We do not like hurricanes because may cause death of many people. We think that this will affect the world and us, the people that live in Central America. Maybe if it passes through Guatemala we may see the damage it causes.
